Welcome to the fashion illustration world of Rongrong DeVoe!
I am originally from Qingdao, China. I worked as a concept artist in Shanghai until 2009, when I decided to move to New York City to pursue the American dream.
While in NYC, I attended the Fashion Institute of Technology, where I earned my Masters Degree in Illustration. During that time, the language barrier, challenging course load, and fast-paced city were overwhelming at times. Still, I was more and more determined to achieve my dreams with every sacrifice made and obstacle overcome.
After graduation, I worked as a fashion designer for three years at major fashion companies in Manhattan. While living in New York, I met my husband and shortly afterward moved to Houston, Texas, where we currently live.
Starting over once again in a new city, I immediately started to network, meet influencers and business owners in my area, and promote my work.
In just a few short years, my wildest dreams have come true at home and abroad. My illustrations have been featured in publications like InStyle Magazine, Vogue, BuzzFeed, and more. I've done commission work and live sketch events of all kinds, and my clients include international fashion and beauty companies, designers, and retailers. I also wholesale and license my illustration collections to boutiques throughout the country.
Seeing my work in stores like Target, JoAnn's, Marshall's, and more is such a dream come true. There is nothing like creating something new in my mind and seeing it come alive on my sketchbook, on a pillow, or even a mural.
